Aims

Enable learners to supervise and guide others in mental health first aid practices within a workplace or community setting.

Deepen understanding of complex mental health issues such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, and the professional help available.

Enhance the ability to support others through structured conversation, signposting, and ongoing monitoring.

Promote sustainable wellbeing strategies at an organisational level, reducing stigma and encouraging early intervention.
Outcomes
A Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.
